Hey guys, long time no see. I finally have something to post on here for once. I pasted together my posters and I feel like they convey the purpose of the CyDogs as a helping companion. I am a little iffy though on the second design I have where the dogs are facing each other. I don’t feel like it fits well with the other two. From my own perspective I wanted to keep a stark background because the focus isn’t a scene its comparing the two dogs but at the same time I think the lack of a background is jarring. Let me know what you think!

  1. Emett – this is coming along really well! Some thoughts:

Series: The colors of all images are helping this come together as a series, good!

#1 – The colors you have introduced here make this a very appealing image. I’m not sure why the lower part of the dog seems to have a blended overlay over it. I would keep those HUD elements behind or away from the dog… however I would also enlarge it over on the lower left because that’s where you can use another subtle element.

Do you think the dogs head is getting just a bit lost in the background orange? What can you do to the edge of his nose and mouth that could help us differentiate it from the background? More contrast is needed there.

I also think I see another HUD right next to his mouth… confusing.

#2 – Do you need a background behind these dogs? Answer… yes, to be a part of the series I think you do. These dogs are close enough to each other that it almost looks like you should be using the exact same image for both, OR using a really different type of dog? I vote for the same… not “almost” the same. Go ahead… give us a true mirror image… that will we have to look at twice to see the difference between them.

Using an image (sidewalk with legs and feet walking by?) will allow you to use the same top banner as the other 2… a good thing for the series.

#3 – Perfect little lovable lady. However, you will need to work to create more contrast between dog and lady’s shirt. Dog is getting lost. The color lighting here is also a problem… dog is shown in higher contrast lighting than lady. I say tone down the dog a bit so he/she fits the scene.

Does the dog seem a bit too large compared with the lady, so we assume it is closer to us… yet she is looking down at it. Hmm… be careful with that.

Keep thinking – this is going to be good!
